Finally there is a memorial in this mans name. As one of the most inspiring figures in this countries history we should have had a memorial for Dr. King a long time ago. The King family has to be very happy and proud of this memorial.
Martin Luther King Jr. set the example for all of us, not just in the African American community, but all races and genders. I wonder why it took them so long? Even though he is not a president or a former solider, don't you think that he has earned and deserved this for along time.
Dr. King left the trademark of respect one another regardless of race. With his "I have a dream" speech. Being a civil rights activist a big target was painted on his back for standing up for what he believed in. Even to the end of his life his message remains. Sense then we have had a African American president, A Latino woman on the supreme court, and even the sports community. Even into the music industry expressed in every way.
This memorial in my opinion is long over do. A man of his caliber should have been giving this honor years ago. To this day he has inspired hundreds of thousands to do something that will make a difference. That memorial will leave an example and another way to remember him and his legacy.
